Comic #64: I Hate Heat

I think there's a consensus when I say the heat is getting pretty unbearable. I'd rather have Winter. At least then you can keep putting layers on. You can only take so many layers off in the Summer. I drew this comic/demotivational poster during one of my lunches. My scanner won't work so I can't put up the pencil draft right now. It sucked. It was on the back of one of my work schedule sheets so it might show through anyway.

Yeah, there isn't really a title of this "comic" so I'll just go with what I'm feeling. Hey, it's been only a week and I made a new one. Not bad. Might have another one tomorrow for my birthday. No promises.

Comic #63: Last Minute [Before/After]

I was wrong. It was a month and a half until my next comic. Well here it is, the last one. From my college breaks at least. Makes sense that my last one has to do with the pressure of exams. This one isn't really funny, just relatable. Or maybe it's just me.

Personally, I'm glad this one is done so I can start creating new ones. I've been jotting down ideas every once in a while since college ended. I even got a small notebook to write things down. This is my first comic on my new laptop. Maybe with the portability of the laptop I'll feel like making new comics since I wont always have to make them in my stuffy room.

So that's it for the drafts. Unless I get really bored at Target. From now on I'll just be drawing them directly into the computer.

Also, here's some videos and a website I've been working on. Check it out:

Comic #62: Not in OUR Lifetime [Before/After]

49 days - It's been 49 days since I last made a comic. Damn I am slacking. Anyway, here is #62. Made this one a little bigger than usual so you can actually read the text on the TV.

Pencil Draft:

Color Final:

Also, I got a formspring. If you don't know what it is, it's a place where you can ask someone questions anonymously and the person receiving them can post the answers publicly. Feel free to ask something if you want. Keep in mind I can moderate the questions how I want. If you are intentionally being a dick I wont publish anything you say.

No sign up needed. Obviously.

One comic left. Hopefully it wont be a month and a half until then.

Comic #61: Positive Spin [Before/After]

A simple four panel comic. I attempted to draw a new girl character this time, since the current conversation wouldn't make sense with Joey and Katie. The hair looks better, but the stick figure still looks like a man. Maybe it's because she's flat chested. lol But I can't add boobs to a stick figure. That'd look even weirder. Eh.. I'm not really sure what characteristics to add to make her look more like a girl. Or maybe the entire thing is in my head?

First time I dropped the F-Bomb in a comic too. Oh well. It was originally going to be censored but the symbols looked crowded and overall dumb.

I thought I'd do the before and after thing again. This was originally comic #62 but I dropped #61 and #63 because they weren't that funny and didn't seem worth my time. Only two more comics left then I'm done with all the comics I drew in college.

Comic #60: WoW of the Future [Before/After]

Damn I hate Windows sometimes. Flash locked up a few panels in and I had to redo an entire panel. Pain the ass. Oh well, here's another one about the future. I have a lot of fun with this theme. It still amazes me how well these turn out months later after I draw them. Being able to add color and gradients makes it look a hell of a lot better than the original white paper on pencil. In fact, I'm including a scan of the original drafts to show how different they really are. You might also note I change the text around a bit too.

A very rough one minute pre-draft to organize the panels:

The pencil on paper draft. Looks a lot better than the previous.

And the final product all neat and colored that you all know and love. lol

By the way, I'm plugging my website again. Added a news feed to it today so it's basically complete. I'm sure I can think of other things to add. A good archive of my comics is there as well as videos and program that I made.

Comic #59: Product Trials of the Future

This one is an extension of the Piracy of the Future comic. How would the product trial of a car work? Hopefully they figure out a less painful way than this. The car in the comic is actually a Ford by the way. A 2009 Ford Kuga if you care.

Took a while to figure out how to draw those sparks and electric glow. At least now I can reuse them. Still got a few more future themed comics left (#60 and #64).

Comic #58: Chaos Theory Prank

New year, new comic. This one is pretty short. Got this idea from that episode of Family Guy where Peter changes his past by time traveling.

Just think, some time traveler from the future could have changed the way the present is for you right now several times and you wouldn't even know or could know. Hell, they could ultimately be guiding your life.
